Our Story

You may know Memphis as the home of the Blues or the birthplace of Rock and Roll. You may also know that our city was the site of one of the greatest tragedies in history, the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on April 4, 1968.

Dr. King had spent his life working to make the world better, yet, today, we are still far from the place he dreamed we could be. Dr. King said that, “love is the key to the problems of the world.” We in Memphis take that to heart. We share with you these 50 stories of love from our city. We ask you to watch, love, work. Watch the films, allow them to open your heart, share them with others, and add your own stories of love. Then, let’s watch love work. Every time a heart is opened, more love is released into the world. Let’s watch what happens when we overwhelm the world with love in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
